Power / + 12 V
Use a separated battery, with enough amperage to supply energy to the amplifier. Do not use your car
battery. Eton recommends the use of grommets when passing the power cable through any metal wall to
avoid sharp corners or sharp body parts that may easily cut through the insulation on the cable.
Avoid running the power cable over engine components and near heater cores. The use of an inline fuse or
circuit breaker is a must, this will prevent the risk of a potential fire caused by a short in your power cable.
Connect the fuse holder or circuit breaker as close to the battery positive terminal as possible.
Use a fuse or circuit breaker of equal value as that found on the chassis of your Eton amplifier.
You may now connect the cable to the battery, but remember to leave the fuse out or circuit breaker off until
all other cable connections are made.
Benutzen Sie Batterien, die genügend hohe Ströme für die Endstufe liefern kann.
Verwenden Sie keinesfalls die Betriebsgbatterie des Fahrzeugs.
Eton empfiehlt Ihnen Durchführtüllen und Kabelschläuche zu verwenden. Hierduch werden an scharfen
Metallecken und Durchführungen Kurzschlüsse durch Beschädigung der Kabelisolierung vermieden.
Verlegen Sie das Stromkabel auf keinen Fall über Teile des Motors oder in der Nähe des Lüfters.
Eine Absicherung des Stromkabels mit einer Inlinesicherung oder eines Sicherungsautomaten -so
nahe wie möglich an der Batterie- muß zwingend vorgenommen werden.
Nur so verhindern Sie im Kurzschlussfall einen möglichen Kabelbrand. Benutzen Sie nur Sicherungen mit
entsprechenden Werten wie vorgegeben. Wenn Sie das Kabel anschließen, entfernen Sie die Sicherungen
bis zum kompletten Anschluss aller Kabel.
Ground / Masse
Connect the GND (-) of the amplifier directly to the negative terminal (-) of the battery. Use cables 0 AWG
(53 mm²). Always use same wire gauge as power cable.
Schließen Sie das Massekabel direkt an den Minuspol der Batterie an. Benutzen Sie immer Kabel mit
mindestens dem gleichen Kabelquerschnitt wie das Pluskabel.
Remote / Einschaltplus
The remote wire connected to a switched +12V source. Typically, remote turn-on leads are provided at the
head unit which will turn on and off the amplifier in correspondence with the source.
If the head unit does not have a remote turn-on lead, then a power antenna wire can be used. If neither of
these leads are present on the head unit then a switched +12V supply must be used, like the ACC, +12V.
We recommend using a cable gauge , 13-15 AWG (1,5 - 2,5mm²)
Run the remote cable by the side of the vehicle. Use protectors, to avoid friction with the body of the vehicle
and prevent short circuits.
Zwischen den Strom- und Masseanschluss befindet sich das Remoteterminal welches zum Einschalten der
Endstufe gebraucht wird. Die Endstufe schaltet ein, wenn hier eine 12 V Spannung anliegt. Typischerweise
wird diese Klemme mit dem Remoteausgang des Radios verbunden.
Sollte Ihr Radio keinen solchen Anschluss haben, so verwenden Sie einen Ausgang für automatische
Antenne oder einen Schalter. Auch der Anschluss an 12v Zündung ist hier möglich. In diesem Fall würde die
Endstufe immer angeschaltet sobald man die Zündung einschaltet. Das Remotekabel kann an den
Cinchleitungen verlegt werden.
Hier ist ein Kabelquerschnitt von 1,5mm² - 2,5mm² vollkommen ausreichend.
Benützen Sie nach Möglichkeit Kabeltüllen um einen Kurzschluss mit der Karosserie durch Reibung und
Vibration zu vermeiden.
