EVENT STATUS ENABLE
Description: Sets or returns the event status enable bits.
Syntax:
• *ESE xxx
–or–
• *ESE?
Parameters: Event status enable bits (xxx):
• Range = 0–255
Refers to the binary word that corresponds to the
event status enable bits.
Example:
• To set the event status enable bits to 10011111
(159 base 10): *ESE 159
• To check the status of the error register enable bits:
*ESE?
The FM5004 will return: *ESE 159<CR><LF>
ERROR STATUS REGISTER QUERY
Description: Returns the error status register bits.
Syntax: *ESR?
Parameters: None
Example: To check the status of the error status register bits:
*ESR?
The FM5004 will return a number in the range of
0 to 255 that corresponds to the binary representation
of the error status register bits, such as:
*ESR 255<CR><LF>
