Conforming
Automation to Picture
As video or film sections are inserted, deleted, and moved dur-
ing post-production, the Conform utility realigns the automation
data to match the edited film. Data from an Edit Decision List
(EDL) with the start time, end time, and duration for each edit,
along with the type of operation (insert, delete, move) is en-
tered into the Conform utility. The Conform utility creates a new
mix with the EDL changes.
