Before Sewing / Antes de Coser / Avant de Coudre 1. Fit plug into the machine. 2. Insert plug into the mains socket. 3. Sewing speed can be varied by the foot control. Note: Use only FDM model KD-1902 foot controller with sewing machine. CAUTION: Always disconnect the machine from the power source when the machine is not being used, when cleaning the machine or when changing the lamp. Bulb replacement: 1. Open face cover in direction of arow. 2. Remove the bulb by turning it counter clockwise. 3.

Winding The Bobbin / Bobinar / Remplir La Canette 1. Release coupling knob. Fig. 1 2. Thread as shown. Fig. 2 3. When bobbin is filled, re-engage coupling knob. Hold the upper thread with left hand, turn the hand wheel slowly towards you until the needle goes down and comes up. Then stop the hand wheel when the take up lever is at its highest position. Push down the lever for the desired pressure; for light fabrics set lever at 3, set at 2 for medium fabrics and at 1 for heavy fabrics. 2. Insufficient pressure may cause poor feeding, skipped stitches or difficulty in guiding the fabric. To adjust the presser foot pressure, use the lever behind the cover of the lamp. Loosen the stop screw of the lamp cover to open it. 3.

(2) Attach the darning/embroidery foot to the presser foot bar. The lever (A) should be behind the needle clamp screw (B). Press the darning/embroidery foot on firmly from behind with your index finger and tighten the screw (C). (3) First sew round the edge of the hole (to secure the threads).

Select a narrow zigzag width. Cut out the applique design and baste it to the fabric. Sew slowly around the edge of the design. Trim excess material outside the stitching. Make sure not to cut any stitches. Remove the basting thread. Tie top and bottom thread under the applique to avoid unravelling.
Walking foot (Optional) / Pie regular (Opcional) / Pied de transport supérieur (Option) Note: The walkong foot accessory is optional. it is not included with this machine. Always try to sew first without the walking foot accessory which should be used only when necessary. It is easier to guide the fabric and you have a better view of the seam when using the standard, regular foot on your machine.
