IMPORTANT: Before operating the appliance for the first time, read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. • Do not overturn or lean the appliance unduly to one side while the appliance is in use. • Do not point the jet of steam in the direction of persons, animals or plants. • Do not point the jet of steam in the direction of electrical or household appliances. • Do not insert any object in the various openings and do not use the appliance if any opening is obstructed. • Do not use the appliance with wet hands or bare footed. • Do not use the appliance when close to flammable or explosive substances.
OPERATING INSTRUCTION Switching On Your Steam Cleaner Insert the electrical plug into the wall socket and press down on the power switch and boiler switch to turn the appliance on. The light integrated into the power switch and the boiler switch will illuminate. The appliance will heat up and produce steam. Heating time is approximately 8 minutes when cold water is used. The green “Steam Ready” indicator light turns on when steam has been produced and the appliance is ready to be used.
Refilling the boiler When the water in the boiler has run out the red “low water” indicator will illuminate red and the steam will decrease and stop. Keep the steam gun in the on position until all the steam is emitted (depressurize). Turn the power switch and the boiler switch off, it is now safe to open the safety/filler cap and refill with another 1.5L of water. Turn the power switch and boiler switch on.
USING THE FLOOR BRUSH WITH THE CLOTH Use a cotton cloth on the floor brush to absorb dirt and protect delicate surfaces. It can also be used on vertical washable surfaces following the same procedure as the floor. Put the cotton cloth under the floor brush and put the edges of the cloth under the clamps. Once the cloth is too wet or too dirty, a clean cloth should replace the dirty cloth. Old terry-cloth towels can be used or additional cloths can be purchased from the retailer.
CARPET SLIDER: This attachment clips over the face of the floor brush preventing the bristles from interacting with the carpet. To use: Clip the carpet slider onto the floor brush, then attach the floor brush to the extension tubes. When refreshing carpet or rugs you should vacuum througly before steaming and then again after steaming to remove the dirt that is loosened by the steam. Note: Steam will only refresh carpets / rugs and to kill dust mites. Steam will not shampoo carpets / rugs.
