Important Safety Instructions
UL Listed Adapter. FCC Approved.
6. The Baby’s Unit (transmitter) is operated by a hardwired (non-removeable) AC adapter.
DO NOT attempt to remove the AC adapter; doing so can affect your safety. The Parent’s
Unit (receiver) is operated by rechargeable batteries that are included with your monitor or
by the Evenflo AC adapter (provided). Use only the Evenflo adapter included with this unit.
DO NOT use this adapter with other equipment or use other equipments’ adapters with this
monitor under any circumstances.
7. Protect the AC adapter cords. Route cords so they are not walked on, pinched by items
placed upon them, or run-over by vacuum cleaners.
8. DO NOT immerse any component in water. Clean the monitor with a dry cloth.
9. DO NOT use near fluorescent lights, appliances with motors, televisions, fans or other
machinery. These items may interfere with the quality of your monitor’s transmission or
reception.
10.Adapter must be removed from the receiver for battery operation.
11.DO NOT use the monitor if:
•Either adapter cord has been damaged.
Objects have fallen onto or liquid has been spilled into any of its components.
It has been exposed to rain or water.
It has been dropped or something inside is damaged.
If any parts are missing or broken, call Evenflo’s ParentLink at 1-800-233-5921 for
instructional literature or product information if needed.
12.Refer to the Troubleshooting Chart in this Owner’s Manual before returning your monitor
for servicing. You may be able to solve the problem on your own in very little time.
13.There are no serviceable parts inside these monitors. DO NOT open the cases.
14.This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following tw o
conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device mus t
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
•For best results, use your AC adapter(s) with the monitor. The power is more consistent than
that of the battery.
•For best battery performance, allow batteries to completely discharge every few weeks.
•This nursery monitor operates over public airwaves. Transmissions from your Baby’s Unit may
be picked up by another product operating on the same frequency. Your Parent’s Unit may
also pick up transmissions from another product on the same frequency. If interference
occurs, change BOTH your Baby’s and Parent’s Units to the alternate frequency channel.
•Always make sure that both units are on the same frequency channel. It is possible for the
Parent’s Unit to pick up the Babys Unit even if they are not on the same channel when both
units are close together; however, you’ll experience static and interference.
Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by
the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority
to operate equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed
and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications.
There is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
•Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and Parent’s Unit (receiver).
•Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit that is different from the Parent’s Unit (receiver).
•Consult the dealer or a qualified radio-TV technician for help.
Operational Range: Your monitor’s typical transmission/reception range is 650 feet (198 m)
depending on battery power and possible obstructions (i.e., walls) that radio waves encounter. The
methods and materials used in your home’s construction, terrain and other factors may also affect
transmission.
Power Light: The Power Light will illuminate green whenever the unit is turned on, whether the
unit is stationary (plugged into adapter) or portable (using battery power).
Channel A/B: If interference occurs, change BOTH your Baby’s Unit and Parent’s Unit to the
alternate frequency channel. The WhisperConnect Pro Nursery Monitor operates over public
airwaves. Transmission from your Baby’s Unit may be picked up by another product if it is on the
same frequency. Your Parent’s Unit may also pick up transmission from another product if it is
broadcasting on the same frequency.
Sound Lights
TM
: Sound Lights light up when the Parent’s Unit receives sounds. The more lights that
are lit, the louder the sounds.
Low Battery Indicator: When battery power in the Parent’s Unit is low, the Power Light/Low
Battery Indicator will flash. To recharge, attach the AC adapter to the Parent’s Unit, plug the AC
adapter into a standard wall outlet, then set Power/Volume Dial to ON.
Out-of-Range Indicator and Alarm: All Sound Lights
TM
will light up and flash, and an alarm will
sound on your Parent’s Unit if:
• The units are taken out of range of one another. • The units are set to different channels.
• Power to the Baby’s Unit is lost. • A strong interfering signal starts on the selected channel.
The Out-of-Range Indicator and Alarm can only be stopped by re-establishing contact between the
two units or by turning off the Parent’s Unit. This alarm feature is designed to give you confidence
and reassurance that your Evenflo WhisperConnect Pro Nursery Monitor is functioning properly.
Parent Unit Finder: Press the Finder Button on Baby’s Unit to activate the locating signal. Once
the Parent’s Unit is located, turn Power Switch OFF then ON to deactivate the signal.
Additional Receivers: You may expand WhisperConnect capacity by adding additional receivers
(sold separately). Use only Evenflo WhisperConnect Additional Receiver model 6461550 to expand
this monitor system. Please consult the owner’s manual included with the additional receiver for
warning and safety instructions.
Helpful Hints
Using Your Monitor
When the Pet Detection Lens senses movement within range,
an alarm will sound on the Parent’s Unit and the pet detection
light will illuminate. To deactivate/reset the alarm, turn the
parent unit OFF then ON.
NOTE: The Pet Detection feature is NOT active within the first
20 seconds of being turned on. This allows adults sufficient
time to move out of range.
