Typical Installations
Jet pumps turn on and off by a device called the pressure switch (included
with all jet pumps). The pressure range indicates when the pump will turn
on and off.
Ejector kits are required for proper use of the Deep Well (convertible) jet
pump. Without ejector kits, the pump would only move water – it would not
build enough pressure to turn off.
NOTICE: When replacing an existing pump, the old ejector kit located in
the well must be removed. Install the new ejector kit included with the
pump.
Deep Well Jet Pumps are positioned above ground and can pump from 25'
to 70' depth to water.
Mainly used for household water supply from a well, driven point, or open
water source. Pumps should be used with Standard or pre-charged
pressure tank. The larger the tank, the less the pump will turn on and off.
Jet Pumps
One pipe between water source and pump indicates a Shallow Well
pump, two pipes Deep Well pump.
How can I determine which style pump
I am replacing?
1.
The pump can be installed in a basement, utility room or crawl space, at
the well, or between the well and the house. If installed outside, it should
be protected by a pump house with heat, and not exposed to sun or
moisture.

What additional items do I need?
Will the pumps operate regardless
of the voltage – 115 or 230?
The pump is factory pre-wired for 230 volts but can be changed to
operate on 115 volts (see owner’s manual).
When replacing an existing pump, look on the existing pumps
identification label for voltage information.

3.
Where is the ejector kit located on a
Deep Well Jet Pump?
The ejector kit is not mounted on the pump for a deep well application.
