• The EM-FT2B is designed to mount a flat panel onto a vertical wall. Hardware for mounting to a

wood stud is included. For mounting to any other surface, contact a qualified contractor.

• The wall or mounting surface must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the mount

and the flat panel, otherwise the structure must be reinforced.

• Safety gear and proper tools must be used. Failure to use safety gear can result in property

damage, serious injury, or death.

• Follow all instructions and recommendations regarding adequate ventilation and suitable

locations for mounting your flat panel. Consult the owner‘s manual for your flat panel for more

information.

• This product will hold flat panels up to 46 inches and weighing up to 100 lbs.

• VESA 400mm x 400mm

• Two people are recommended for installation

Tools Required

• Phillips head screw driver

• Rachet or driver with 13mm (1/2”) socket

• Electric or portable drill

• 6mm (1/4”) drill bit and stud finder for drywall installation

• 10mm (3/8”) masonry bits for concrete installation

Part 1A - Mounting the wall plate to dry wall 1. Use a high quality stud finder to locate two adjacent studs where you wish to install your mount. Mark both edges of each stud to help identify the exact center. NOTE: You must use the center of each stud to avoid cracking or splitting the wood during installation. 2. Place the wall plate against the wall and level it using the integrated bubble level. 3.

Part 2 – Attaching the mount to the flat panel IMPORTANT: Use extra care during this part of the installation. If possible, avoid placing your flat panel facedown as it may damage the viewing surface. NOTE: This mount comes with a selection of different screw diameters and lengths to accommodate a wide variety of flat panel models. Not all of the hardware in the kit will be used. 1.

Part 3 – Final Assembly 1. With the help of another person, carefully lift your flat panel and place it on the wall plate. Do not release until the mount arms are securely hooked onto the wall plate. 2. Insert the safety bar at the bottom of the mount to prevent the flat panel from being lifted from the wall plate. A padlock can be inserted into the end of the bar for additional security (see Fig.8).

Partie 1A – Montage de la plaque murale sur cloison sèche 1. Utilisez un détecteur de montants de haute qualité pour repérer deux montants adjacents à l'endroit où vous souhaitez installer votre support. Marquez les deux bords de chaque montant afin d'en identifier précisément le centre. REMARQUE : Vous devez utiliser le centre de chaque montant pour éviter de craquer ou de fendre le bois lors de l'installation 2. Placez la plaque contre le mur et alignez-la à l'aide du niveau à bulle fourni. 3.

Partie 2 – Fixation du support à l'écran plat IMPORTANT : Soyez très prudent lors de cette étape de l’installation. Évitez autant que possible de placer votre écran face vers le bas, cela pouvant endommager sa surface. REMARQUE : Ce support est livré avec une sélection de vis de diamètres et de longueurs variés pour convenir à une grande variété de modèles d'écrans. Vous n'utiliserez pas tout le matériel dans cette trousse. 1.

Partie 3 – Assemblage final 1. Avec l’aide d’une autre personne, soulevez votre écran avec précaution et placez-le sur la plaque murale. Ne relâchez pas l'écran tant que les bras de montage ne sont pas bien accrochés sur le mur. 2. Insérez la tige de sécurité au bas du support de manière à empêcher l'écran de pouvoir être soulevé de la plaque murale. Un cadenas peut être inséré à l'extrémité de la tige pour plus de sécurité (voir Fig.8).
