2014+ GM Truck Plug and Play Replacement Camera Installation Instructions

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS DOCUMENT BEFORE INSTALLING ANYTHING!
Compatibility: This kit is compatible with all 2014+ Silverado and Sierra trucks that had a camera from
the factory.
Wire Harness: The harness for this kit is designed to plug into the existing factory camera wiring.
KIT CONTENTS
GM tailgate camera
OEM conversion harness
REQUIRED TOOLS
10mm socket or nut runner
Torx
Section 1, Setting up
Unpack the contents of the package and gather the required tools listed above so you can be sure you
have everything you need before you begin. Read and understand these instructions thoroughly before
you begin the installation process.
Section 2, Camera Installation
1. Remove the trim panel from the back of the tailgate by using a Torx socket and removing the 8
screws holding it on to allow access to the camera.
2. Install the new camera module into your tailgate handle using the two Torx bolts that held the
original camera in. Route the camera harness through the bottom of your tailgate and bed.
3. Plug the camera into the OEM conversion harness pigtail. Note: This can only plug in one way!
Line up the arrows and the notch on the connectors and plug them together firmly.
4. Plug the other end of the camera pigtail into the factory harness (under the truck, behind the
rear bumper)
5. Secure the cable inside the tailgate using zip ties, ensuring that it is clear of moving parts.
6. Once the camera has been tested replace the tailgate access cover... SIMPLE!
