ExpoDisc Custom White Balance Procedures
Pentax Cameras
Pentax K5D
1. Install the ExpoDisc and set the camera to Manual Focus mode.
2. Allow the camera to set an automatic exposure using the “P”, “S” or “A”
modes or set the correct manual exposure in “M” mode.
3. Press the four-way controller () until the White Balance screen appears.
4. Use the four-way controller to select (Manual). Press the four-way
controller ().
5. Use the four-way controller to () to select 1 to 3 and press the four-way
controller ().
6. Aim the camera in the appropriate direction for the given lighting condition
and press the shutter release button. See the ExpoDisc Instruction Manual for
more information on where to aim the camera.
7. Press the shutter release button fully.
8. Use the rear e-dial to select the entire screen. Press the OK button.
9. The White Balance fine-tuning screen appears when measuring is complete.
Press OK again and the camera will return to the White Balance Screen.
10.Press OK again and now the camera is ready to take a picture with the
custom White balance.
Pentax K10D/K20D/K-r
1. Install the ExpoDisc and set the camera to Manual Focus mode.
2. Allow the camera to set an automatic exposure using the “P”, “S” or “A”
modes or set the correct manual exposure in “M” mode.
3. Press the Fn button. The Fn menu appears.
4. Press the four-way controller () until the White Balance screen appears.
5. Use the four-way controller to select (Manual). Press the four-way
controller () and the White Balance fine tune screen appears.
6. Aim the camera in the appropriate direction for the given lighting condition
and press the shutter release button. See the ExpoDisc Instruction Manual for
more information on where to aim the camera.
7. The shutter clicks and the screen to select the measuring range is displayed.
8. Use the rear e-dial to select the entire screen. Press the OK button.
9. The White Balance fine-turing screen appears when measuring is complete.
Press OK again and the camera will return to the White Balance Screen.
10.Press OK again and now the camera is ready to take a picture with the
custom White balance.
