It seems like a tight ﬁ t on my

camera, should I be concerned?

Do not be concerned. Because the dimensions of

camera hot shoes vary between camera brands and

models, Safari will ﬁ t some hot shoes more tightly than

others. The Safari’s spring-ﬁ t mount is designed to

adjust to tighter ﬁ tting hot shoes, so it will slide in and

out more easily after just a few uses.

Note: Nikon cameras generally will have a tighter

ﬁ t than Canon cameras.

How durable is the Rogue Safari?

The Safari is extremely tough and can withstand

signiﬁ cant pressure from pushing, pulling, twisting, etc.

You cannot damage the Safari by inserting it into, or

removing it, from the camera’s hot shoe.

How does Safari attach to my camera?

Rogue Safari was designed to ﬁ t tightly into the hot shoe

so that it won’t fall out during active photography. To

insert the Safari, push the unit down and forward into

the camera hot shoe until it comes to a complete stop

against the back of the hot shoe. To remove a tight

ﬁ tting Safari you may need to wiggle the unit from side

to side while pulling back.

™ I FA R A S FAQs Continued What are the spacers included in the Rogue Safari packaging used for? Some cameras, most notably the Canon Digital Rebel series, position the flash slightly higher in relationship to the hot shoe mount than other cameras. The spacers included in the package lock onto the Safari mount, raising the height of the Safari. The raised height allows for Safari’s light pattern to be centered in the field of view.
