Overview USB2.0 IrDA Adapter is for enabling IrDA wireless data communication through a standard USB port. Powered from USB bus, this product does not require any external power adapter. It supports SIR (2.4Kbps to 115.2Kbps), MIR (576Kbps to 1152Kbps), FIR (4Mbps) and VFIR (16Mbps) modes. The effective data transmission distance is from 0 to 1M. Using the product, you could transfer data with wireless connection for PC, PDA, digital camera, scanner and printer.
Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP 1. Turn on your computer. Insert the CD into E drive where E is CD-ROM drive and run E:\STir42XX\SETUP.EXE Windows automatic start the installation. 2. Click Next to continue installation. 3. Click Next to continue or click Browse to change the folder.

7. Click Continue Anyway to continue. 8. Click Finish. 9. If the driver is installed successfully, you will see the following devices Uninstalling the Device Driver It is easy to uninstall the USB2.0 to IRDA device driver.

When using USB IrDA with mobile phones, it is recommended to install the corresponding mobile phone utilities to enhance data communications. 2. For Windows XP users, If your OS version is SP1, please upgrade to SP2 or later. Or install the Windows XP Hotfix-KB822603 from the update website. The English version of this Hotfix was also put on the driver CD folder “\STIr42xx\XP-Hotfix\”.
