Installation Checklist
Installation of the AVTrac can be divided into six main sections:
Before Getting Started
Open the three boxes containing the AVTrac kit and identify all the items provided
(pages 2 and 3).
Decide where the Track will be placed (pages 4 and 5) and, if necessary, prepare the
site.
Gather any additional tools needed for the installation (page 6).
Step 1 — Install Track
Remove the existing carpeting (pages 7 and 8).
Cut a hole for cables in the drywall (page 9).
Measure and cut the track pieces (pages 9 and 10).
Secure the track to the floor (pages 10 and 11).
Step 2 — Install Connectivity Box
Remove the top cover from the connectivity box and place the base on the track
(pages 10 through 12).
Secure the connectivity box to the track and floor (page 12).
Step 3 — Install AC Power Module (if needed)
Seat and secure the power module in the connectivity box (page 13).
Run the AC conduit and connect to the junction box (page 13).
Step 4 — Install Architectural Adapter Plates (AAPs)
Install AAPs in the connectivity box cover panel (page 14).
Run and connect the cables to the AAPs (page 14).
Reattach the cover panel (page 14).
Step 5 — Complete Installation
Snap on the cover track (page 15).
Cut and glue the carpet to the side and end ramps (pages 15 and 16).
Trim the wall base boards and apply the carpet or rubber strip finish to cover the
track raceway (page 16).
