FOX Fiber Optic Matrix Switcher Boards
for the SMX System MultiMatrix
The SMX FOX 4G Fiber Optic Matrix Switcher Boards
offer up to 4.25 Gbps digital switching capability for
audio, control, and video signals at high resolution
rates and multiple formats with pixel-for-pixel
throughput. This level of performance assures
compatibility from standard definition video to the
highest source resolutions, including HDTV 1080p/60,
RGB computer-video, DVI, and multi-rate SDI
signals. They are equipped with industry-standard
LC connectors for integration convenience. The
SMX FOX 4G Fiber Optic Matrix Switcher Boards are
available in two sizes, 8x8 and 16x16, and in two
versions for use with singlemode or multimode fiber.

Fiber Optic Extender for VGA or YUV, Audio, and RS-232
The Extron FOXBOX 4G VGA/YUV Fiber Optic Extender
is a transmitter for long haul transmission of high
resolution VGA or HD component video, audio, and
RS-232 control signals over a single fiber. Engineered
for reliability and exceptional high resolution image
performance, it uses Extron's exclusive all digital,
zero compression technology, to deliver perfect
pixel-for-pixel transmission of computer-video images
up to UXGA (1600x1200) resolutionand HDTV up to
1080p/60. The FOXBOX 4G VGA/YUV also includes
image adjustments and calibration, Auto Input
Memory, RS-232 control, internal test patterns, and
real-time system monitoring. A compact, low profile
enclosure allows for discreet installation, and multiple
FOXBOX 4G receivers can be daisy-chained from the
FOXBOX 4G VGA/YUV.

FOX HD-SDI
Fiber Optic Extender for Multi-Rate SDI
The Extron FOX HD-SDI Fiber Optic Extender enables
long haul transmission of multi-rate SDI video,
with embedded audio and metadata, over a single
fiber. Engineered for reliability and exceptional high
resolution image performance, it uses Extron's
exclusive all digital, zero compression technology
to transmit multi-rate SDI signals up to 2.97 Gbps
including SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI. To optimize SDI
signal transmission to and from the FOX HD-SDI, input
signals are automatically equalized, and output signals
are reclocked. The FOX HD-SDI can function as a
transmitter and a receiver in various user-configurable
modes.
