SIS Commands
Introduction to SIS
SIS commands consist of a string (one or more characters per command field). Commands
do not require any special characters to begin or end the command string. Each response
from the unit ends with a carriage return and a line feed (CR/LF =

), which signals the end
of the response character string.
When the FOX Tx/Rx AV unit is first switched on, depending on the model, it sends one of
the following messages:

Symbols Used in This Guide
When programming in the field, certain characters are most conveniently represented by
the hexadecimal equivalent of their ASCII value. For convenience, the table below shows the
hexadecimal equivalent of each ASCII command:

NOTE: Apart from G (gain) and g (attenuation), upper and lower case characters can be
used interchangeably in SIS commands for this product. For example, either “C”
or “c” can be used to set the color value (see page 15).
