1. Slide the color coded heat shrink tubing
over the cable, then slide the ferrule over the
cable. See the top diagram.
2. Carefully strip the end of the
coaxial cable to expose the
shielding and inner conductor,
as shown at right.
3. Insert the center
conductor into the center
pin.
4. Insert the conductor and
pin into the crimp tool
with the appropriate die.

With the flange on the center
pin flush with the edge of the
die, use the die’s 0.044” crimp
chamber (the smallest
chamber) to crimp the center pin.
5. Insert the center pin into the BNC plug body
and slide the exposed shielding
over the support sleeve of the
BNC.
6. Slide the ferrule over the
shielding and against the
BNC body.
7. Using the die’s 0.240” crimp
chamber (the middle
chamber), crimp the ferrule.
8. Slide the heat shrink tubing over the ferrule
and use a heat gun to set the heat shrink.
