The Extron VoiceLift
®
Microphone System is a voice
amplification system specifically developed for K-12
classrooms. The VoiceLift Microphone System enables
the creation of a “sound field” that allows a teacher’s
voice to be heard clearly throughout the classroom.
Studies show that use of a sound field system results
in increased student achievement and a reduction in
teacher health issues related to voice fatigue. Each
system contains all the components necessary to
evenly distribute the teacher’s voice throughout the
classroom, including wireless microphone, IR receiver,
switcher/amplifier, speakers, and cables.

Instant Alert Emergency Video Monitoring
Access Live Classroom Video with the Push of a Button
Many schools have experienced a disruption in the classroom, an injury, a spill of hazardous materials, or similar
event that required some type of third-party notification. To prepare for a situation like this, instructors need a way
to quickly and discreetly signal for assistance.
Instant Alert
The Extron VoiceLift Pendant Microphone includes an instant alert feature that enables the teacher to request
assistance with the push of a button. It triggers an integrated relay that may be used with a variety of notification
systems. In classrooms equipped with an Extron MediaLink Controller, the instant alert option can be configured
to send a text message or email to school officials and safety authorities. Instant alert can also interface with third
party alarm, security camera, mass notification, and other systems.
Emergency Video Monitoring
In addition to sending an email or text to officials, Instant Alert can also provide access to an IP video camera
installed in the classroom. By clicking the link provided by email or in GlobalViewer
®
Enterprise, administrators can
see and hear what is happening in the room. This allows them to deploy the most appropriate resources such as
summoning police or medical personnel, or starting lock down procedures.
If GlobalViewer Campus Communication Suite has been deployed, the help desk operator may either make
an announcement to the room that assistance is on the way, or initiate an intercom session for two-way
communication with the instructor.
