If you use the func tion of hold, you can prevent a mal-func tion by a button while
the player is played d uring player operation, i ncluding an unnecessary
consumption of built-in battery.
To Set to HOLD Status
Push the HOLD switch on the side of the player at the direction of the arrow (HOLD).
The player is locked off with
displayed shown after the display shows “HOLD.
To Release Hold Status
Move the HOLD switch to the direction opposite to the arrow.
The hold status is released as there disappears
on the DISPLAY.

If you think the player fails, check the fo llowings:
Power may be not turned on.
Check if the battery is properly inserted with correct polarity.
Battery may be dead. Replace the battery.
Check whether the HOLD switch of the player is set at ON.
(Set it to the direction opposite to the arrow(OFF) if it is set at ON.)

Check if the language is properly set in t he LANGUAGE menu.
Since the ID3 Tag of a song may be incorrect, you should fix it using such an
audio player program as Wi namp.

Change t he direct ion of t he Player and it s earp hone.
Please t urn t he power of t he elect ric appliances OFF near t he Player.
I f t he noise is reduced, use t he Pla yer aw ay from t hem.

t o t he radi o st at io n, no earph one m ay ca use a poor r ecept i on.
