With higher cfm range hoods more air is exhausted from today’s tighter home with less
“passive” air returning into the home through the walls. To “make up” for lost air and to prevent toxic
air from coming in from garages etc., the Make up Air kit by Faber brings fresh outside air into the home
through a separate fresh air duct with a sealed damper. This automatic motorized damper opens to bring in
air when the hood is operating above 400 cfm and closes tightly when the hood is not in operation.
Kit includes the following (ABOVE): 6 or 10” switch assembly
(left), 6 or 10” automatic return air damper (right) and
24 Volt plug in transformer (bottom)
