This unit is not anti-scald. If anti-scald capability is required by local plumbing code, install with a remote pressure balancing valve, such as Hansgrohe 13418181.
Required for Installation (not included) 27 mm wrench Teflon tape waterproof bathroom sealant Torpedo level or similar device Installation Wrap the threads on the offset adapters with several layers of Teflon tape. Screw the offset adapters into the female fittings. Use the included gauge to adjust the spacing between the offset adapters. Use a level (not included) to make sure that the connectors are level. The back of each offset adapter should be no more than 3/16” from the finished wall.
Seal the wall around the offset adapters with waterproof sealant. Place the gasket over the adapters. Press the mixer firmly over the adapters. Use the included 5 mm hex wrench to tighten the screws. Set the high temperature limit stop (optional). User Instructions Pull up on the handle to turn the water on. Pivot the handle to the right to obtain cooler water, to the left to obtain hotter water. When the water is turned on, it will come out through the spout.
Unscrew and remove the decorative nut cover. Remove the handle screw (1). Remove the green high temperature limit stop (2). Replace it so that the pin goes into the hole for the desired high temperature. The temperatures shown in the diagram assume an incoming hot water temperature of 140oF and an incoming cold water temperature of 50o F. Reinstall the decorative nut cover (1). Tighten the handle screw 4 complete turns (2). Replace the handle (1). Finish tightening the handle screw (2).
