the art of good wine
temperature
The temperature at which it is
served is the most important
aspect to be taken into account
for the properties of the wine
to be fully savoured. For red
wines, room temperature is
recommended, which is also the
case for fortifi ed wines. However,
white wines should be served
chilled.
Each wine requires a different one
Decanting
,
Allows the oxygen to do
its job.
By using a decanter, you will
ensure that the contact with
oxygen is greater than in the
bottle, so the impurities in the
aroma will be eliminated. Use it
with full-bodied red wines when
they are still young, and with
older reds to separate out the
sediment.
Look at it closely; it has a
lot to tell you.
The cork is a very convenient
visual clue to the quality of the
wine. If the cork is stained and
smells of wine, you will have a
good tasting experience. This
means that it has been stored
carefully and is well oxygenated.
If, on the contrary, it’s very dry,
this is not a good sign.

aromas and fl avours.
A suitable glass can make for
a better wine experience. We
recommend that the wine glass
curves in at the top, so that
you get the full effect of all the
aromas. It must be made of fi ne,
smooth, transparent glass.

The moment you’ve been
waiting for has arrived.
Take your time, don’t rush it.
Savour, feel. Use your
senses - seeing, smelling and
tasting - to fully experience all
the wine’s nuances. The most
logical way to experience a wine
is fi rst to look at it, then smell it
and, fi nally, taste it.
