a) Turn the power ON at the service panel. Press RESET. The LED
indicator starts emitting green light, If no light from function indictor,
go to Troubleshooting.
(b) Press the RESET button fully, then plug a lamp or radio into the GFCI
(and leave it plugged-in)to verify that the power is ON. If there is no
power, go to Troubleshooting.
(c) Press the TEST button in order to trip the GFCI. Indication light will
turn off. The GFCI should stop the flow of electricity making the radio
or lamp shut OFF, the RESET button should pop-out. If the power stays
ON, go to Troubleshooting.
If the power goes OFF, you have installed the GFCI receptacle correctly.
To restore power, press the RESET button.The LED indication should
light up.
(d) If you installed your GFCI using set 7B, plug a lamp or radio into the
surrounding receptacles to see which one(s), in addition to the GFCI,
lost power when you pressed the TEST button,do not plug life saving
devices into any receptacles that lost power. Place a GFCI Protected
sticker on every receptacle that lost power.
(e) Press the TEST button every month to assure proper operation, then
Press the RESET button.
(f) If the function indicator light turns blinking red or has no light, it means the
GFCI does not work normally and needs to be replaced.
(g) Once the GFCI is connected to power it will begin the Self-test cycle. If the
Self-test is successful the light indicator will remain green else the Red indicator
will blink red. A periodic Self-test will be performed by the GFCI automatically
every 2.5 hours. If at any point during its operation the GFCI unit light indicator
