8-5. Engine start operation with rear defrost start Up

When the engine is started using this operation, the rear defrost operates.

When the engine is started using this operation, the rear defrost operates by

force. The rear defrost also operates when the interior temperature is 5 degrees

C (41 degrees F) or lower at the time of engine start when the engine is started

with the engine start operation described on page 14.

Note

 The rear defrost operation cannot be performed without starting the engine.

 On some vehicle models, dash light does not turn on when the rear defrost is

turned on with the Remote Engine Start.

 The rear defrost will automatically stop when the engine stops.

 With some vehicle models, the rear defogger will automatically stop operating

15 minutes after it starts.
