Instructions for Birdbath Deicers, Models B-9, C-50, HR-75

WARNING: This is an outdoor product that requires basic safety precautions to minimize the
risk of electrical shock, personal injury, and product damage. Read all directions and precautions
carefully before putting into operation. When using this electrical appliances, safety precautions
must be followed as described below:
1. Read all instructions before putting this product into use.
2. Always disconnect your power cord to the product when not in use and during warm weather.
3. Do not use the product when obvious damage is noticed to your supply cord or plug. Inspect
cord and plug before using.
4. Do not use the product if the product has malfunctioned or has been damaged in any manner.
5. Do not dismantle or puncture the unit for any reason. This could cause damage and will
void the warranty.
Instructions for Use: 120 VAC: Model C-50 and HR-75 is recommended for operational use to
-10°F! Model B-9 is recommended for operational use to 20°F
1. Place the unit directly in the birdbath.
2. Plug the cord into a 14-16 gauge outdoor extension cord and then into a fully grounded 120
VAC receptacle outlet.
3. Fill birdbath with water. Do not let the unit operate without water.
5. This product is thermostatically controlled to operate only when temperatures fall below 35F.
6. Inspect the product before using. Read all instructions.
Test for Proper Operation:
(1) Unplug the power. (2) Place the Birdbath Deicer outside in the cold (if temperatures are
below freezing) for approximately 60 minutes to re-set the thermostat. (3) After 60 minutes,
immediately plug unit into a receptacle outlet. (4) If working properly, the heating element will
warm up right away. The unit is operating correctly.
Limited Warranty
Model B-9 Birdbath Deicer is guaranteed for one year and Models C-50 and HR-75 for three
years after the original date of consumer purchase or date stamped on the unit against defects due
to material and the company’s workmanship only. The sole obligation shall be to replace the
defective unit with a replacement unit. Units should be “Checked for proper operation” prior to
returning as defective. Units must be returned prepaid. No liability for loss or damage of any
nature or kind, whether arising out of or from the use of the product, whether defective or not
defective, is assumed by Farm Innovators, Incorporated.
