Installation Guide

SAFETY:
Always follow proper safe work practices and wear safety glasses and a dust mask when cutting wood. Follow all
prescribed safety practices when working with power tools.
RECOMMENDED TOOLS:
Pencil, Tape Measure, Hand Saw or Miter Saw, Mallet or Hammer
ACCLIMATE:
When you receive your wood, place the boxes in the room you will be installing them in. Open the boxes and let
the wood acclimate to its environment for 7-10 days before installing.
INSTALLER/OWNER RESPONSIBILITY:
It is the responsibility of the installer and owner to ensure that the wood is installed per the instructions and that
the wood is allowed to acclimate prior to installation to minimize expansion and contraction.
WALL PREPARATION:
Wall or surface should be clean, dry, and as smooth as possible. Textured walls should be made relatively smooth
with a scraper or coarse sandpaper. New drywall should be finished and primed. If going over wallpaper, remove
any loose paper and prime bare areas. Remove any loose or flaking paint. Remove any obstructions such as screws,
nails etc. Temporarily remove any electrical cover plates.
INSTALLATION:
1) Prep walls or surface
2) Lay out wood until desired layout is achieved
3) Measure and mark
4) Cut
5) Attach to wall using brad nails, regular nails, Liquid Nails or industrial double sided tape
