The'Q'controladjustthedampingofthefilter,sothat
low'Q'settingsshowlessovershootattheturnover
frequency,butalsoslowerroll-off.
Rememberthat'Q'is1/Bandwidth,sothehigherthe'Q',
thelowertheBandwidth,andthesmallertherangeof
frequenciesaffected.Thefilterisprimarily12dB/Octave,
butinachievingthissortofroll-offwithahigh'Q'valuewillresultinquitealargeovershootinlevelatthe
turnoverfrequency.Thistypeoffilterisoftenalsocalledaresonantfilter.
