Installation Instructions for
Hobson 1 Light Small & Medium Pendant
If necessary, place the shade ring onto the shade so that it rests as shown, then place the shade onto the socket and secure it in place
by screwing the collar nut onto the socket.
Screw the lamp into the socket. Refer to the label on the lamp socket for Max Wattage information.
Determine the height of the fixture with the provided stems and assemble them by screwing them together.
Secure the mounting plate to the junction box with two mounting plate screws.
Feed the fixture wires through the stem assembly and screw the stem assembly to the socket assembly.
Feed the fixture wires through the canopy and screw the canopy onto the stem assembly.
Connect the fixture to a suitable ground in accordance to local electrical codes.
Connect the white fixture wire to the neutral power line wire with a wire nut.
Connect the black fixture wire to the hot power line wire with a wire nut.
Neatly place the wires into the electrical box and/or canopy, then place the canopy onto the mounting plate and secure it in place by
screwing in the fixture screws.

This product is safety listed for damp locations.
Incandescent lamps may be dimmed with a standard incandescent dimmer.
LED LEDlamps may be dimmed with a dimmer. Consult lamp manufacturer for
additional information.
This instruction shows a typical installation.
