MQ-500
Accurate, Stable Measurements
Long-term non-stability determined
from mulple replicate quantum sensors
in accelerated aging tests and eld
condions is less than 2 % per year.
Unique Design
Measure photosynthecally acve
radiaon with a research grade, full
spectral response sensor. Oers a self-
cleaning, cosine-corrected head that is
fully-poed for a waterproof design.
Typical PPFD Measurement
Applicaons
• Incoming and reected PPFD over and
under plant canopies in greenhouses, in
elds, and in growth chambers
Aquac environments including salt
water aquariums and freshwater lakes and
streams
Calibraon Traceability
Apogee SQ-500 sensors are calibrated
through side-by-side comparison to
the mean of (4) Apogee model SQ-500
transfer standard sensors under T5 cool
white uorescent lamps. The transfer
standard sensors are calibrated through
side-by-side comparison to the mean
of at least (3) LI-COR model LI-190R
reference quantum sensors under T5 cool
white uorescent lamps. The reference
sensors are recalibrated on a biannual
schedule with a LI-COR model 1800-02
and quartz halogen lamp that are traceable
to the Naonal Instute of Standards and
Technology (NIST).
A research-grade PAR meter with an improved
spectral response providing accurate PAR/PPFD
measurements under all light sources, including
LEDs
