Information about this operating manual
Please read the operating instructions and familiarise yourself with the unit prior to using it for the first
time. Adhere to the safety information for the correct and safe use of the unit.
Intended use
FIAP Aqua Active Solar SET hereafter called device is exclusively for pumping wells normal pond
water for fountains, water features, decorative and streams produced and up at a water temperature
between +4° C and +35° C and an operating voltage 6 - 24 using volts.
Use other than that intended
Danger to persons can emanate from this unit if it is not used in accordance with the intended use and
in the case of misuse. If used for purposes other than intended, our warranty and operating permit will
become null and void
CE - Declaration of Conformity
In accordance with EC Directive EMC - Directive (2004/108/EC) and the Low Voltage Directive
(73/23/EEC) we declare conformity. The following harmonized standards were applied:
EN 61000-6-3, EN 61000-3-2 + A2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 61000-6-1.
Safety information
For safety reasons, children under 16 and people who can not recognize possible dangers or
who are not familiar with this manual, do not use this product!
Please keep these operating instructions carefully! When changing owners give the instructions on. All
work on this unit must be carried out only in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can not lead to regulations on connected or misused to
serious danger to life and limb. Operate the device only if there are no persons in the water! Before

be operated! FIAP Aqua Active Solar SET: If the power cord of the appliance is damaged, must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent in order to avoid a hazard. When the cable is
damaged, the appliance should be discarded. Electrical installations at garden ponds must meet the
international and national regulations. Never open the housing of the device or its related parts, if this
is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions. Never make technical changes to the device. Only
original spare parts and accessories. Have repairs carried out only by authorized service centers. Do
not operate the appliance without water! Never use the pump for fluids other than water! For questions
or problems, contact your safety to a licensed electrician!
Electrical connection
The electrical connection must according to the RU and VDE only be performed by an authorized
technician. For all installations is the VDE 0100 part 702nd All performance data is shown on the
identification plate. All work on the device only when de-energized to run!

Installation
Attention! The unit must never be operated without a filter basket, and without water!
The unit can only be operated horizontally and stable on safe ground. The position of the device must
be below the water surface. Install the included riser with the pump and set it to the desired Fountain
essay. Now connect the plug of the pump to the jack of the solar module (Aqua Active Solar SET 150
and Aqua Active Solar SET 300) or the battery box (Aqua Active Solar SET 800 and Aqua Active Solar
SET 1,500). For models with the battery box battery box must be connected to the solar module. The
unit turns on automatically by direct sunlight on the solar panel, if you have made the current
connection.
Assembly
Pull the plug and secure the unit against restarting. The unit can only be operated horizontally and
stable on safe ground. The appliance must be positioned below the water surface and can
(submerged) within the pond to be established.
Cleaning and maintenance
Attention! Before cleaning and maintenance, always unplug the power cord!

If the rotor is blocked by dirt, contact a qualified electrician!
Clean the case of decreasing performance, the filter housing under running water with a soft brush. To
clean the pump cable from the solar panel or disconnect the battery box. Unclip the retaining clips and
remove the pump from the filter cup. Clean the pump under running water with a soft brush. Remove
any dirt in the impeller through the openings. Never open the motor housing. Mount the unit after
cleaning in reverse order.
If the rotor is blocked by dirt, disassemble the pump: turn off the pump housing. Pull out the rotor,
check, clean and replace. Reassemble in reverse order.
Wear Parts
The drive unit and the bearings are subject to wear and are not covered by the warranty.
Storage / Wintering
In Frost, the device must be uninstalled. Do a thorough cleaning, check the unit for damage and keep it
on dipped or filled and frost. The plug, the battery box and the solar module must not be flooded!
Disposal
The device must be disposed of according to national regulations. Ask your dealer.
