Repairing Small Holes & Cracks
For small dam
aged areas, use FibaTape® Wall Repair Tape.
INSTALLATION TIPS:
•
For
cracks
, cut FibaTape® repair tape in appropriate
lengths and follow the leng
th of the crack
.
•
For
holes
up to 2” in diameter simply apply the tape
in a cross hatch manner over the hole.
•
Apply fi rst coat of compound. When dry, sand lightly.
• Apply
fi nishing coat of compound, spreading it beyond
the edge of the fi rst coat. S
and to smooth fi nish when
dry. If necessary, apply additional coats
.
Ideal for rep
airing electrical outlet holes.
INSTALLATION TIPS:
CAUTION: Turn off power.
•
Remove loose debris. Apply FibaTape®
fi berglass electrical outlet patch over outlet
and entire area.
•
Run utility knife around inside edge of outlet
box to remove excess material
.
•
Apply fi rst coat of compound. Sand when dry.
Apply fi nishing coats.
•
Can also be used on walls for damaged areas
in drywall or plaster
.
Ideal for rep
airing large holes, particularly in ceilings.
INSTALLATION TIPS:
•
Remove loose debris and apply FibaTape®
self-adhesive
aluminum patch.
• Apply compound wider than patch. Sand when dry and apply
wider fi nishing coat. Sand to a smooth fi nish.
• Designed not to sag on ceiling repairs.
