Note: This timer is designed to be installed in a horizontal
position as shown in Fig. 1-1. Alternatively, it can
be installed vertically as shown in Fig. 1-2.
Fit the Automatic Grill Shut-Off Timer in the gas supply
line before the grill. The timer accommodates
1
/2" NPT
piping (both ends).
Important: Ensure you connect the gas supply to
the side marked “IN” on the timer (see
photo). It MUST NOT be fi tted within 18"
of the grill, or it will overheat, causing
damage to the timer and may result in
a leak.
Use pipe joint compound on male fi ttings attached to
the timer.
To use, set the dial (turn clockwise) to the desired time
to shut off. The dial is marked in 3 one hour increments
(any position in between is an estimate of that hour). The
timer dial will auto rotate (counter-clockwise) and will shut
off the gas supply when the dial reaches OFF (i.e. the
time is completed).
Important: When using the timer for periods of less
than one hour, you must fi rst set the dial to
1 hour (to activate), then return (counter-
clockwise) to the desired amount of time.
This will ensure proper timer operation. See
Fig. 1-1 or Fig. 1-2.
