SAFETY INFORMATION DANGER DANGER ·CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD ·This fire pit is a combustion appliance. All combustion appliances produce carbon monoxide (CO) during the combustion process. This product is designed to produce extremely minute, non-hazardous amounts of CO if used and maintained in accordance with all warnings and instructions. Do not block air flow into or out of the fire pit.
SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING WARNING California Proposition 65 By-products of the cumbustion fuel used by this product contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. ·This product is fueled by propane gas. Propane gas is invisible, odorless, and flammable. An odorant is normally added to help detect leaks and can be described as a "rotten egg” smell. The odorant can fade over time so leaking gas is not always detectable by smell alone.
ASSEMBLY NOTE: It is best to use TWO PEOPLE for assembly of this appliance. 1 1. Locate 4 – Legs (E). Screw 2 – Studs (L) into the holes on each side of the leg. Make sure all legs have the foot end facing down, then align holes in 2 - Side Panels 1 (F1) and 1 - Side Panel 2 (F2) with ends of the Studs (L) sticking out of each leg. Attach the Panel to the Leg using Washer/Spring Washer/Nut (N,O,P). Tighten loosely with Wrench (Q).
ASSEMBLY 3 3. Attach Gas Tank Support 2 (G2) to Gas Tank Support 1 (G1) and Door (H). Align the holes in ends of Gas Tank Support 2 (G2) with the holes in Gas Tank Support 1 (G1) and hole on bottom of Door (H). Insert Bolt (M) through Washer (N) and then through holes. Slide another Washer (N) and Spring Washer (O) over Bolt (M) and secure with Nut (P). Tighten with Wrench (Q). Hardware Used 4. Place Table Top (B) so underside is facing up. Then place the Burner (C) onto the Table Top.
ASSEMBLY 5 5. Screw the Studs (R) into the Table Top (B) using the Screwdriver (W). Then turn the assembled Table Top (B)/Burner (C) over. Make sure the Control Knob on the Burner is facing towards the Door (H) and align the Studs with the holes in the tops of the Legs. Insert the Studs through the holes. Slide a Washer (T) and Spring Washer (U) over the end of the Stud (R) and secure with Nut (V). Repeat on the other 3 Studs. Tighten with Wrench (Q). Hardware Used 6 6.
ASSEMBLY 7. Connect the hose and regulator to the cylinder. The propane gas and cylinder are sold separately. Use a standard 20 lb. propane cylinder only. Use this fire pit only with a propane vapor withdrawal supply system. See Chapter 5 of the standard for storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gas, ANSI/NFPA 58. Your local library or fire department should have this book. Storage of an appliance indoors is permissible only if the cylinder is disconnected and removed from the appliance.
ASSEMBLY A dented, rusted or damaged propane cylinder may be hazardous and should be checked by your cylinder supplier. Never use a propane cylinder with a damaged valve connection. The propane cylinder must be constructed and marked in accordance with the specifications for LP gas cylinders of the U.S. Department of Transportation(DOT) or the standard for cylinders, spheres and tubes for transportation of dangerous goods and commission, CAN/CSA-B339.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS DANGER WARNING CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD For outdoor use only. Never use inside house, or other unventilated or enclosed areas. This fire pit consumes air (oxygen). Do not use in unventilated or enclosed areas to avoid endangering your life. Very hot while in a operation! Never lean over the fire pit while in use. Do not touch surfaces while the fire pit is in operation, wait until the fire pit has cooled down after use.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS WARNING FOR YOUR SAFETY Be careful when attempting to manually ignite this fire pit. Holding in the control know for more than 10 seconds before igniting the gas will cause a ball of flame upon ignition. When fire pit is ON: Burner will display tongues of blue and yellow flames. These flames should not produce thick black smoke, which would indicate an obstruction of airflow through the burner. The flame should be blue with straight yellow tops. Re-lighting: 1.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE Gas odor with extreme yellow tipping of flame. Fire pit does NOT reach the desired temperature. Fire pit glow is excessively uneven. Fire pit makes popping noises. Spiders and insects can nest in burner or orifices. This dangerous condition can damage fire pit and render it unsafe for use. Clean burner holes by using a heavy-duty pipe cleaner. Compressed air may help clear away smaller particles. Carbon deposits may create a fire hazard.
