Preparing Bolt Installation
1. Determine placement of lock.
2. Position lock on sliding door and mark track by tapping bolt.
(For exterior applications, make sure you position lock on far
edge of front door - as far away from glass as possible).
3. Drill hole for bolt to a depth of 3/4" to 1-3/4" using 1-1/32"
diameter drill bit. Be sure to clear glass!
Prepare Lock body for install
4. Position lock on door, sliding bolt into hole. Mark top edge of
lock body and remove lock.
Disassemble Lock
5. Using key, make sure lock is unlocked. Remove standard screw
on lower lock body. Grasp sliding portions of lock and pull apart.
Attaching Lock Body
6. Remove template from package and align with mark on door.
Mark screw holes and drill 1/8" diameter holes. Be sure to clear
glass!
7. Mount template and lock body while rmly tightening all
screws. After bolt has been pushed through upper lock body
and closed or locked, be sure to tighten the standard screw on
lower face. This screw acts as a stop to prevent lower lock body
from sliding off when unlocked.
NOTE:
Additional holes (on horizontal line with rst hole) may be
drilled to allow door to be locked in vent position.
