5. Emergency Selection
If the batteries in the remote control have been drained or if the remote control becomes
faulty, the unit can still be operated by using the emergency operation buttons.
6. Adjusting Horizontal (Left/Right) Airflow
The horizontal (left/right) airflow direction of the unit can be manually adjusted by pushing the
tabs directing the airflow to your requirements.
Do not adjust the left/right deflector while the unit is running as the fan will be rotating at high
speeds and could cause injury to yourself.
7. Efficiency Suggestions
We present some advice on ways of economizing energy (and money):
Using the temperature adjustment feature on the remote control, select a temperature that
gives you an acceptable level of comfort. A temperature of 25 °C is suggested.
Avoid allowing the room to accumulate hot air all day and then adjusting the thermostat to
maximum cool to reduce the room temperature quickly. It is more effective to start the
apparatus a little earlier and leave it to acclimatize the room gradually
If possible, close all doors and windows in order to conserve the air within the room. Also,
close curtains and blinds in order to reduce the heat from windows.
Open the front grill to access the emergency buttons
This button resets the system after a power fluctuation. If the unit
fails to respond to the remote control or Outdoor Unit fails to start
This button selects the MODE. With each push of button the unit
will switch from COOLING/HEATING/STOP.
In the emergency operation mode the unit will COOL/HEAT at a default setting of 24˚C.
