E BATTERY CHARGING ASSEMBLY F WARNING Power Indicator Children can be harmed by small parts, sharp edges and sharp points in the vehicle's unassembled state, or by electrical items. Care should be taken in unpacking and assembly of the vehicle. Children should not handle parts, including the battery, or help in assembly of the vehicle. ASSEMBLY F 3/8" -16 Lock Nut Front Axle Front Wheel 2 Hint: There is a right and a left front wheel. Place the right wheel (marked R) on the passenger side of the vehicle, and the left wheel (marked L) on the driver side of the vehicle. • Place a front wheel onto each front axle. 4 Assembly Tool • Place a 3/8" -16 lock nut (rounded side out) onto a front axle. IMPORTANT: Tighten the lock nut firmly using the closed end of the assembly tool.
ASSEMBLY F Front End Battery Compartment 8 Vehicle TOP VIEW • Insert two 1/ 4" x 11/ 4" screws inside of the battery compartment and into the front end of the vehicle. Tighten the screws. 6 • Fit the front end onto the vehicle. • Insert the tabs on the back edge of the front end into the slots in the vehicle. Front End Front End Bumper 9 RIGHT SIDE VIEW • Fit the bumper onto the front end. 7 • Insert two #8 x 3/ 4" screws through the front end and into the vehicle. Tighten the screws.
ASSEMBLY F Bumper 10 Grille • Insert seven #8 x 3/ 4" screws into the bumper and tighten. 12 • Insert two #8 x 3/ 4" screws the top of the grille. Tighten the screws. Grille 30 Bumper 29 11 • Fit the grille onto the bumper. • Push down to fit the tabs on the grille into the slots in the bumper. 12 13 • Before applying the labels, wipe the surface of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • Place the labels exactly as shown in the illustration.
ASSEMBLY F Doors Headlights 14 • Fit the headlights (left and right) onto the bumper. 16 • Fit the door pegs onto the holes near the front end of the vehicle. Hint: There is a left and right door. They are designed to be assembled one way. Plates Headlights 15 • Insert two #8 x 3/ 4" screws into the top edge of each headlight. Tighten the screws. 17 • Fit the large hole on the plates to the door posts. • Align the holes in the plates with the holes in the top side of the vehicle.
ASSEMBLY F Windshield/Dash Dash Connectors Radio Connectors 18 20 • Insert three #8 x 3/ 4" screws into each plate and tighten. Dash Connector Motor Harness Connector • Open the doors on the vehicle. • Place the windshield/dash on top of the front end of the vehicle. • Plug both dash connectors together. • Plug both radio connectors together. Hint: If the connectors do not fit together, do not force them.
ASSEMBLY F IMPORTANT! Turn the vehicle on its side or over to complete assembly steps 24-29. A B Metal Steering Vehicle Bar Hole Column Hole 22 • Insert four #8 x 3/ 4" screws into the base of the windshield/dash. Tighten the screws. Dash 24 BOTTOM VIEW • Wipe the steering column with a paper towel to remove any excess lubricant.
ASSEMBLY F Large Opening Steering Wheel Steering Wheel Cap Steering Column 28 26 DASH VIEW • Position the steering wheel so that the large opening is UP. • Fit the steering wheel onto the steering column. • Insert and "snap" the steering wheel cap into the center of the steering wheel. Steering Column Cap Press Wheel 29 27 Lift Steering Column • While pressing down on the steering wheel, grasp the steering column under the dash and pull it up as far as it will go.
ASSEMBLY F 1.5V x 4 "C" (LR14) Key Assembly Battery Safety Information 30 • Insert and "snap" the key assembly into the slot in the dash. Loosen These Screws In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage: • Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). • Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
ASSEMBLY F TOP VIEW Seat Hood Tab Slot 32 34 • Lower and fit the side tabs on the hood into the slots on each side of the front end of the vehicle. Slots • Insert the two tabs on the front edge of the seat into the slots in the vehicle. Short Seat Belts Seat Seat Long Seat Belt 33 • Insert the fastener end of a short seat belt strap through the slot near the outer edge of the seat. Make sure the side of the seat belt with the fastener faces the outer edge of the seat.
ASSEMBLY F Wings 13 14 36 Taillight Tabs 38 • Before applying the labels, wipe the surface of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • First apply the inside edge of a label to the back end of the vehicle. Next, apply the outside edge of the label to the side of the vehicle. Then, smooth the center of the label. (The edges will overlap slightly.) • For best results, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle.
ASSEMBLY F Speaker Box Assembly Speaker Connector Speaker Connector 40 • Position the speaker box assembly over the back end of the vehicle. • Plug both speaker connectors together. Hint: If the connectors do not fit together, do not force them. Simply turn one of them over and try again! 42 • Insert three #8 x 3/ 4" screws into the top of the speaker assembly. Tighten the screws. Assembly is now complete. Speaker Box Assembly 41 • Fit the speaker box assembly onto the vehicle.
DECORATION G Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the following guidelines in mind: • Wash your hands before applying the labels. • Before applying the labels, wipe the surface of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • Place the labels exactly as shown in the illustrations. • For best results, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle.

BATTERY INSTALLATION IMPORTANT! Use only a Power Wheels® 12 volt lead-acid rechargeable battery. Use of any other battery will damage your vehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels® 12 volt charger before operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
BATTERY CARE AND DISPOSAL I Care If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. If acid is internally ingested, give water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately. Never give emetics or induce vomiting. Call a physician. • Charge a new battery for at least 18 hours before first use.
SAFE DRIVING RULES RIDING HAZARD WARNING • Prevent Injuries and Deaths • Direct Adult Supervision Required • Never Ride at Night. • Keep Children Within Safe Riding Areas. These areas must be: - away from swimming pools and other bodies of water to prevent drownings - generally level to prevent tipovers - away from steps, steep inclines, cars, roads and alleys. • Riding Rules Make sure children know and follow these rules for safe driving and riding. - Always sit on the seat. - Always wear shoes.
VEHICLE OPERATION K IMPORTANT! Use this vehicle ONLY outdoors. Most interior flooring can be damaged by riding this vehicle indoors. Fisher-Price® will not be responsible for damage to the floor if the vehicle is used indoors. Beginner Use - Low Speed Drive As assembled, your vehicle is ready to roll in low speed (21/2 mph, maximum). It has been pre-set so it will only operate in low speed.
FM RADIO USE L Volume Scan Reset Power Scan Main Reset Power/Volume • Press the power button to turn on or off. • Turn the volume dial to adjust to a comfortable listening level. Hint: The FM Radio will turn off automatically after about one hour of non-use. FM Radio • • • • Press the scan button to find a station. Press the scan button again to go to the next station. To reset the radio to the first station, press the scan reset button . FM Radio reception varies from area to area.
M CHARGE INDICATOR Button 12 VOLT BATTERY CHARGE INDICATOR • Press the 12 volt battery charge indicator button to check the power level of your battery: All four lights means the 12 volt battery is 100% (fully) charged. Three lights means the 12 volt battery is 75% (mostly) charged. Two lights means the 12 volt battery is 50% charged. We recommend recharging your battery for 14 hours. VEHICLE CARE • Check all screws, cap nuts and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required.

Make sure the motor harness connector is tightly plugged into the battery, and that there are no loose wires around the motors.
Q PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS GUIDE PROBLEM Vehicle runs in low speed, but does not run in high speed POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION High speed lock-out not disconnected The vehicle was pre-set to run only in low speed. To allow the vehicle to run in low and high speed, you must disconnect the High Speed Lock-Out. Follow the instructions on page 26 to remove the High Speed Lock-Out screw.
