Chapter 5: Connecting the Core Network Cables

To install T1 using the 66–block:
5.a.
Make sure that a jumpe r cable is in place f or each connection you plan to make.
5.b.
Expose an a ppropria te length of wire .
5.c.
Attach to the punch-down insulation displacing terminals according to Table 5.1

After all conne ctions are m ade, close the door of the network termination box. Secure the
box with the existing latch screws.
7.
After all connections ar e made, close the door of the T1 termination box. Secure the box
with the existing la tch screws.
8.
Replace the rear p ane l using h ex head bolts and cup washers. Torque each bolt until the
gasket is comp letely comp re ssed and a hard stop is achieved.
