WARNINGS, CAUTION S TATEMENTS A ND N OTES

This document uses certain conve ntions to indicate supplementary inform a tion, of varying

degrees of severity and im portanc e. M aterial marked with a “warning” label is considered critical;

failure to observe this information c an result in death or serious injury. Informa tion that refers to

potential damage to equipment is marked with a “caution” label. Inform ation that is c onsidered

additional but useful is marked with a “note” label.

Samples of warnings, caution statements and notes appe ar as follows:

WARNING:

WARNINGS ARE ALWAYS IN UPPER CASE. WARNINGS RELATE TO

POTENTIAL LOSS OF LIFE O R SERIOU S INJURY. YOU MUST OBEY

ALL WARNING S.

CAUTION:

Normal Cautions are in bold type. Cautions relate to pote ntial dam age to

equipm ent. You m

ust obey all cautions.

ESD CAUTION:

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) war nings are in bold type, and are accompanied

by the ESD warning symbol. ESD can damage sensitive electronic equipment;

ESD wa rnings should likewise be he eded.

Note:

Notes are displayed in italic. Notes contain information that may be v aluable to the reader, but is

considered supplementary to the normal text flow.
