The following describes a typical method utilizing a hoist
• The hoisting device is to be fastened to the cylinder at the top of
the Spiral Elevator. Whilst hoisting, the hoist should be well fixed
and must not be able to ride/shift away unexpectedly.
• Raise the top of the Spiral Elevator around 200mm and stop.
• Remove the frame with feet which is temporarily mounted to the
Spiral Elevator column top.
• Raise the Spiral Elevator until lifted completely from the floor and
in the vertical position. Take care not to put excessive side load on
the feet to avoid bending or damaging them
. Note! Be aware that the Spiral Elevator may tip at the moment it
is near to the upright position. Make sure there are no persons
near the Spiral Elevator!
• Remove feet from the now horizontal position and re-fit in to the
other holes in the frame to have the feet in the vertical position.
