1. MAIN MENU The FT 16/16D is powered up by the switch at the rear side of the terminal. After start-up the start screen will be displayed. Start screen and password entry Please enter the password “1234” to pass to the main menu (to change the password see chapter 7.8). Main menu To enter the sub-menus, press the function keys shown at the left side of the window. If the [F7] key is pressed, the screen will return to the start screen again.
2. 1ST WEIGHING To weigh a vehicle the first time access the 1st weighing menu by pressing [F1] in the main menu. 1st weighing menu Please enter the weighing data in the menu including the vehicle’s license tag. If any entry in the menu is defined as “table entry” (see chapter 7.2), a table window including the previously entered data opens automatically at the right part of the screen (shown below).
3. 2ND WEIGHING To complete the weighing of any 1st weighed vehicle access the 2nd weighing menu by pressing [F2] in the main menu. 2nd weighing menu When entering the 2nd weighing menu, a window named “TABLE “ will open automatically. This window contains a list of all 1st weighed vehicle license tags. Press the “TAB” key to access the table and select the designated vehicle for the 2nd weighing. The selection can be done by “↓“, “↑“, “PgUp“ and “PgDn“ keys and pressing the “Enter” key will confirm it.
4. ONE-PASS WEIGHING In some applications which particularly have a lot of weighing traffic, one-pass weighing is very helpful. The vehicle data inclusive the 1st weight and other data can be entered and saved using the vehicle’s license tag as header (please refer to chapter 7.5 for entering the vehicle data). Because of the saved 1st weight data, these vehicles only need the 2nd weighing, which can be done using the one-pass weighing menu.
5. REPORTS To access the reports menu press [F4] in the main menu. Reports menu 5.1 Detailed Report To access the detailed report menu press [F1] in the reports menu. Detailed report Detailed report menu key description: [F2]: Defines the beginning and ending date of the report [F3]: Defines the report target: printout or only on screen [F4]: Defines the report logic: The report can be set to consider incoming-, outgoing- or all weighing records.
5.2 Sorted Report To access the sorted report menu press [F2] in the reports menu. Sorted report In the sorted report, it is possible to mark a field with “ * “. Then the weighing records will be sorted according to this entry. For example, if the customer is marked with “ * “, the weighing records will be sorted by this category and all weighing of each customer will also be grouped.
6. REPRINT THE LAST TICKET To access the reprint the last ticket menu press [F5] in the main menu. Reprint the last ticket menu The last weighing record is displayed and can be printed again by pressing [F1]. FT-16/FT-16D Weighbridge User Manual, Rev.1.
7. SETUP & RECORDS To access the setup & records menu press [F6] in the main menu. The standard password to enter the sub-menus is “1”. (The password can be changed in chapter 7.8). Setup & records menu 7.1 Company Data & Entries To access the company data and to configure the entries in the weighing menu press [F1] in the setup & records menu. Company data & entries Company data: To enter the company data press [F1]. Three lines are available for data.
This determines if the previous data of this query is preserved for the next record or not. “1”: The data of the previous weighing will be preserved for the next weighing. “2”: The entry will be empty and new data has to be entered in the next weighing process. Definition: The program allows simple mathematical operations for each entry. Possible operations: division (/), multiplication (*), addition (+) and subtraction (-) Possible variables: #X: Provides the data of entry X.
Table data The already defined datasets for this entry/query can be seen at the right side of the screen. A new value can be added by typing it in directly and confirm it with the “ENTER” key. To change or delete an entry, press the “TAB” key to select an entry from the Table window and press “Enter”. Then a new window will be opened (see below).
7.3 1st Weighing Records To access the 1st weighing records press [F3] in the setup & records menu. List of 1st weighed vehicles 7.3.1 Select, Edit and Delete a Record To view the data of a certain vehicle, just move the mark over it and press [F1] 1st weighing menu In the weighing records menu the actual record can be deleted or edited. To delete this single record, press [F1]. To change the selected weight record press [F2]. (of course weight and date-time cannot be changed).
7.3.2 Delete all / selected 1st Weighing Records To delete all 1st weighing records, press [F2] in 1st weighing records menu. List of 1st weighed vehicles Press “1“ key to confirm deleting or and “2“ key to cancel. List of 1st weighed vehicles To delete records prior and inclusive to a certain date, press [F3] in the 1st weighing records menu, insert the date and press “Enter”. If you confirm by pressing “1”, all records prior and inclusive the entered date will be deleted.
7.4 2nd Weighing Records Please press [F4] in the setup & records menu to access and configure the handling of the 2nd weighing records. 2nd weighing records menu 7.4.1 Select 2nd Weighing Record To access any 2nd weighing record press [F1]. The weight record and the related ticket number will be displayed. 2nd weighing ticket The actual ticket can be printed again ([F1]) and the next ([F3]) or the previous ([F2]) weight record can be recalled like shown on the right side of the window. 7.4.
Automatic transfer The explanation of the items in this menu are given below. This defines the transfer mode (“1” automatic transfer, “2” manual transfer) Automatic transfer: This defines the transfer frequency base. (day, hour, minute or each record) Transfer by: This defines the period of the automatic record transfer Transfer frequency: This index shows the serial number of the last transferred record. It is possible Last transfered record: to change this number.
7.5 Vehicle Data In this section the vehicle data like the 1st weight or the license tag can be saved for the use within the onepass weighing. Press [F5] in the setup & records menu to access the vehicle data menu: List of Vehicles For a new record press [F1]. The following menu shows up: Vehicle data Here you can enter the license tag, the 1st weight and other required / desired entries. Press “Enter” to save everything.
Vehicle data To delete all vehicle data, press [F3] key in the vehicle data menu. After an additional confirmation all vehicle data will be deleted. 7.6 Enter Date & Time To access the date & time settings menu, press [F6] in the setup & records menu Enter date & time In this menu the date and time of the terminal can be edit. 7.7 Ticket and Printer Settings Please press [F7] the setup & records menu to access the ticket and printer settings menu. Ticket and printer settings In the following the sub-menu will be described: The type of the ticket (standard weigh bill / customized weigh bill) can be Ticket type defined here. Selecting the customized option, the user can define the format of the ticket The connection type of the printer can be select here (parallel / serial).
Customized ticket menu Here you can define coordinates (ROW and COLUMN numbers) and the FONT for each data which will be printed on the ticket. Just insert the values and confirm them by pressing “Enter”. 7.8 Password Administration Please press [F8] in the setup & records menu to access the password administration menu. Password administration menu 2 separate passwords can be defined: [F1]: [F2]: A standard-password (for standard operations like weighing). And an “advanced”password (for the submenus of the setup & records menu). The two passwords provide flexibility for the scale operation, but of course the passwords can also set to be the same.
7.9 Serial Port Settings Please press [F9] in the setup & records menu to access the serial port settings menu. Serial port settings The items of this submenu will be described in the following: Status Baud rate Parity Data bit Stop bit This parameter defines the type of the connection. (empty field): There is no connection to the serial port Printer: A serial printer is connected to the serial port 2nd Scale: A 2nd scale is connected to the serial port. (see 7.9.
If a 2nd scale is connected, the program will ask for the scale to provide the weight data before capturing any weight data (1st weighing, 2nd weighing and one-pass weighing).
