CONTINUITYCHECK
WARNING: To avoid electric shock, never measure continuity on circuits or wires that have voltage on
them.
1. Setthefunctionswitchtothe ΩCAPposition. 
2. PresstheF1key(MENU),movethemenuselectortothe
RESISTANCE,andthenpresstheOKkey
3. MovethemenuselectortotheitemlabeledCONTINUITY
andpresstheOKkey
4. InserttheblackleadbananaplugintothenegativeCOM
jack.
5. Insertthered
testleadbananaplugintothepositive
jack.
6. Touchthetestprobetipstothecircuitorwireundertest.
7. Iftheresistanceislessthanapproximately35Ω,the
audiblesignalwillsound.Ifthecircuitisopen,thedisplay
willindicateOL.
DIODETEST
1. SetthefunctionswitchtotheΩCAPposition
2. PresstheF1key(MENU),movethemenuselectortothe
DIODEfield,andthenpresstheOKkey
3. MovethemenuselectortotheitemlabeledDIODEand
presstheOKkey
4. Inserttheblacktestlead
bananaplugintothenegative
COMjackandtheredtestleadbananaplugintothe
positiveVjack.
5. Touchthetestprobestothediodeundertest.Forward
voltagewilltypicallyindicate0.400to3.200V.Reverse
voltagewillindicateOL.Shorteddeviceswillindicatenear
0Vandan
opendevicewillindicateOLinbothpolarities.
