MINIMUM(MIN)ANDMAXIMUM(MAX)READINGS
The MINMAX recording mode captures minimum,
maximum,andaveragemeasurementvalues.Whenthe
measurementfallsbelowtherecordedminimumvalue
or above the recorded maximum value, the meter
beepsandrecordsthenewvalue.
The meterstores theelapsed time since the recording
session was started at the same time. The MINMAX
modealso calculatesan averageof allreadings takensince theMINMAX modewas
activated. Average mode is useful for capturing intermittent readings and recording
readingswhileequipmentoperationprecludeswatching
themeter.
The MINMAXmode is useful whenrecording powersupply surges, inrushcurrents,
and finding intermittent failures. Response time is the length of time an input must
remainatanewvaluetobecapturedasapossiblenewminimumormaximumvalued.
Toactivatethe MINMAXmode, presstheMINMAXbutton;thedisplay willindicate
theMINMAXvaluesatthetopofthemeasurementpage.Thestartdateandtimeare
indicated at the bottom of the measurement page. In addition, the recorded MIN
MAXAVGvaluesappearinthe
secondarydisplaywiththeirrespectiveelapsedtimers.
To stop a MINMAX recording session press the key labeled STOP. The summary
information in the display freezes and the keys change function to allow saving the
collecteddata.Pressthekeylabeled‘CLOSE’todiscardthecollecteddataandreturn
tothenormaloperatingmode.
Tosave theMINMAXscreendata,theMINMAXsession mustbe endedby pressing
thekeylabeledSTOP.AfterpressingSTOP,pressthekeylabeledSAVE.Adialoguebox
will open promptingfor a filename(a name isautomatically proposedwhich can be
acceptedor changedbythe user).
Press the keylabeledSAVE. Pressthe keylabeled
RESTARTwhileMINMAXisrunningstopstheMINMAXsession,discardsallMINMAX
data,andstartsanewMINMAXrecordingsession.
