5.10.2.Forbasicoperationfollowthesesteps:

1. Setthefunctionswitchtoanyposition.
2. PresstheIGMbuttonfor<1secondtoswitchtheIGMThermalImagerON.Pointthe
thermalimaginglens
(locatedontherearofthe
meter)towardanareato
measure.
3. Thedisplaywillshowthe
temperaturemeasurement
inthe
upperlefthand
cornerforthetargeted
areaandthecurrently
selectedemissivityvalue
ontheupperrighthand
corner.
4. IntheThermalImaging
mode,thelaserpointer
anddisplaycrosshairscan
beusedtoassistin
targeting.ThesetoolscanbeswitchedONorOFFinthe
ProgrammingMenu.
5. IntheThermalimagingmode,themetercontinuestooperatenormallyasaclamp
meterallowinganyoftheelectricalfunctionstobeused.NotethatintheThermal
Imagingmodetheelectricalfunctionsareshownonthelowerportionofthedisplay
beneaththethermalimage(see
Fig.5‐8).










