Appendix H: Replacing the Hard Drive
APPENDIX H: REPLACING THE HARD DRIVE
The system comes with a pre-installed 3.5" SATA hard drive. Make sure that the system is
OFF
and the power cable has been disconnected before changing the hard drive. You can add a
maximum of two hard drives.
Removing the Hard Drive
To remove the hard drive:
1. Remove the two short black screws on the side panels of the housing and the three short
black screws on the rear panel. Keep these sets of screws separate.
2. Carefully slide the cover away from the front panel and lift off from the housing.
3. Disconnect the SATA power and data cables from the hard drive(s). Pinch the metal
connectors to unplug the SATA power and data cables.
