6. Maintenance
6.1CleaningandStorage
Cleanthemeterwithadampclothandmilddetergent;donotuseabrasivesorsolvents.
Ifthemeterisnottobeusedforanextendedperiod,removethebatteriesandstorethem
separately.
6.2BatteryReplacement
TheBatterysymbolflasheswithno‘bars’whenthebatterieshavereachedacriticallevelof7.0V.
ThesymbolstaysactiveandvisiblewhiletheLCDispowered.
Themeterdisplaysreadingswithinspecificationswhilethelowbatteryindicatorison.Whenthisis
nolongerpossible,thedisplaymustbe
blanked.Themeterpowersoffbeforeitdisplaysanoutof
tolerancevoltage.
1. Toavoidelectricalshock,disconnectthemeterifconnectedtoacircuit,removetheprobe
fromtheterminals,andsetthefunctionswitchtotheOFFpositionbeforeattemptingto
replacethebatteries.
2. Unscrewand
removethebatterycompartmentcover.
3. ReplacethesixstandardAAAbatteries,observingcorrectpolarity.
4. Securethebatterycompartmentcover.
6.3FuseReplacement
Thefuseaccessedviathebatterycompartmentcover.Thefuseisrated440mA/1000V,ceramic
fastblowwithaminimumInterruptRatingof10kA.
6.4DisposalofElectronicWaste
Aswithmostelectronicproducts,thisequipmentmustbedisposedofinan
environmentallyfriendlyway,andinaccordancewithexistingregulationsfor
