5.4Lock/UnlockPaletteAutoScaleMode
Note:Forbestresults,allowawarmupperiodof35minutesbeforeusingthisfeature.
TheLock/UnlockPaletteAutoScaleoptionallowsthecolorpaletterangetobeadjustedto
suitagivenapplication.Forexample,whenviewingbothcoldandhotobjectsinthesame
frame,thepaletteautoscalingwillcausethepalettetobe‘stretched’tofitthewholerange
oftemperatures.However,thiscancausesmallertemperaturevariationstodisappear,asthe
differencebetweentwocolorsmightincreasefromto10°.Inthiscase,theusermay
choosetolockthescalewithonlythecoldormediumtemperatureobject intheframe.This
wouldcausethehotobjecttosaturate,butwillprovidemoredetailtothecolderobjectsof
interest.

Iftheuserwishestonarrowtherangeofcolorandlimitittocolorsnearthecoldtemperature
image,Lock/Unlockcanbesetto‘Lock’withnohotobjectsintheframe.Tolockthescale,
presstheSelectbuttontoaccesstheMainMenu,scrolltotheLockicon,andpressSelect
againtotoggleunlock/lock.Someexperimentationandfinetuningmayberequiredtogetthe
bestpossiblecontrastfortheapplication.
5.5ScreenCaptureandHold
PressingtheImageCapturebutton capturesthecurrentMR160screen.Thescreenwill
hold(freeze)forseven(7)seconds,untilanimagefilenameappearsindicatingthattheimage
hasbeensaved.Duringthesevensecond‘hold’period,theusercansimplyexaminetheimage
andpresstheBackbuttontodiscardorpressSelect/Captureto
savetheimage.
Imagesaresavedinbitmap(.bmp)format.ImagescanbeaccessedontheMR160screenusing
theImageReviewicon
availableintheMainMenu.ThenscrolltheimagesusingtheLeftand
Rightnavigationbuttons.
