APPENDIX M: REMOTE VIEWING USING
INTERNET EXPLORER
Along with the DigiClient Remote Software, you can also connect to your system remotely using
Internet Explorer (version 7 or later recommended). Remote viewing through Internet Explorer
allows for basic viewing, searching, and playback.
NOTE: Remote viewing is only compatible with Int
ernet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari
and other browsers are not supported.
Configuring Internet Explorer
Prior to connecting to your system using Internet Explorer, we highly recommend configuring
Internet Explorer.
To configure Internet Explorer:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. From the main browser window, select Tools>Internet
Options.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Click Trusted Sites from the available zones and then
click Sites.
5. In the text field, enter https://www.
digimerge.com/
VB300 and
click Add.
6. Click Cl
ose.
7. From the Internet Options window, click OK.
Installing ActiveX
®
Prior to connecting to your DVR with Internet Explorer, you
must install the ActiveX plug-in.
To install ActiveX:
1. In the address bar, enter www.digimerge.com/VB300
2. When prompted, click the warning bar and select
Install ActiveX (see figure 38.2).
3. In
the new security window, click Install to Install
