Flo n Stop Water Security System
Installation for Single and Multi-Residential Units.
Refer to all Local Plumbing Codes and Ordinances.
1. Shut off main water supply valve to area.
2. Install 1” Brass Solenoid Valve on water supply line after the main shut off valve.
(Refer to Solenoid Valve Installation Instructions)
NOTE! Improper installation will result in unwanted leaks.
Installation of valve should be performed by a professional plumber.
3. Turn on main water valve and check for leaks.
4. Open a faucet and turn the Manual Override knob on the valve to check
valve function.
5. The PalmPad remote control and 24/7 Sentinel sends a Wireless Radio Frequency
signals to an X10 Transceiver. The transceiver then passes the signals on to your
house wiring to control other valves and devices using the appliance module.
Install batteries into the PalmPad and use it to control the Transceiver Module.
PalmPad and Transceiver come preset on A-1. To change transmit channel
follow Code Assignment Instructions.
Use Appliance module to extend the range of system.
6.Plug the Transceiver Module into a wall outlet near the valve. Plug test lamp
into the Transceiver and check the function of the module.
7. Plug Solenoid Valve into the bottom of the Transceiver Module.
Use On/Off button on Transceiver and PalmPad to control valve.
8. For leak protection use the 24/7 Water Sentinel placed near water appliances
you would like to protect.
9. Place Palm Pad near the exit to control water upon entering and leaving the home.
10. To control multiple valves or cover long distance runs use the Appliance Module
with the Transceiver and plug the Solenoid Valve into the Appliance Module.
In the event of a power failure, the solenoid valve will turn off. To restore water to the
system turn the manual override knob on the solenoid valve 90 degrees.
(Slot is Vertical.)
Upon restoration of power, return the override knob to off position.
(Slot is Horizontal) to return to wireless control.

Valve Body Maintenance
7. Remove the cap screws (Fig 2 #19) using a 10mm wrench and
remove pressure cap.
8. Remove the diaphragm (Fig. 2 #13) from the valve body
(Fig.2 #11) and inspect it for cracks and holes. Clean mineral
build up from the damper. Put diaphragm and o-rings back into
valve body.
9. Remove override knob (Fig. 2 #15) from pressure cap (Fig 2 #12)
clean knob and hole. And check o-ring for wear.
Check ports for clogs.
10. Insert actuator into armature tube and screw into pressure cap
NOTE. When replacing the override knob (Fig 2 #2) insert into hole
completely with flat side up. Slot is horizontal
Pressure Cap Maintenance
Use a straight pin or paper clip to clean mineral build up
in the ports. Use fine steel wool to clean mineral build up
in pressure cap and valve body
10. Clean input port
11. Clean supply port.
12. Clean release port.
13. Clean output port.
14. Reassemble valve body.
15.
16. Insert actuator post into armature tube and screw into the
armature socket in the pressure cap.
17. Place diaphragm and o-rings on valve body and reattach
pressure cap assembly.
18. Restore the water supply and check for leaks.
19. Check the function of the manual override knob.
20. Attach Solenoid coil and secure with nut.
21. Plug valve into control module.
Make sure the override knob is inserted in all the way, flat
side up with the slot horizontal.
Maintenance Instructions
Solenoid Assembly Maintenance
1. Close main water supply valve and discharge the system pressure
by opening a faucet.
2. Disconnect the solenoid power cord from control module.
3. Remove solenoid coil from armature tube by removing the top nut
Fig. 1 #6 using a 14 mm wrench and set it aside.
4. Remove armature tube (Fig. 1 #1) using a 22mm wrench.
5. Remove actuator (Fig. 1 #2) from tube. Check actuator tube for
mineral build up, rust and debris. Check for broken spring and worn
o-ring (Fig. 1 #3). Check to insure that the actuator moves freely in
the armature tube.
6. In the event of a solenoid coil failure, remove the connector screw
(Fig. 1 #10) and remove power cord connector from coil.
7. To replace AC cord or connector attach AC wires to terminal 1&2.
Do Not attach ac wires to the ground terminal.
Check Pressure Cap for minerals or debris in ports.
Clean with a paper clip or straight pin and soapy water

Flo n Stop Inc. warrants the 1” Brass Solenoid Valve to be free from defective material and workmanship for
a period of one (1) year from the date of the original purchase.
Flo n Stop Inc. agrees to repair or replace at it's sole discretion any defective component if returned within the
warranty period with proof of purchase.
Damage caused by accident, misuse or abuse is not covered by this warranty.
In no event shall the liability of Flo n Stop Inc. exceed the purchase price of the product.
Any changes made to the unit will void the warranty

1. Install batteries in the Palm Pad and 24/7 Sentinel.
2. Set encoder dials on The PalmPad and 24/7 Sentinel to the same channel as the
X10 Transceiver and Appliance Module.
All components come preset to Channel A1.
If only the Transceiver Module is used it will only switch on The row 1 ON and OFF Buttons.
If only the PalmPad is used. Use buttons 1 ON and Off to switch valve.
3. To Change House setting on the Palm Pad remove the FLO n Stop label on the left
of the unit by pulling of dust cover using the notch at the top of the cover. Use the Encoder Dail
to Change House Channel.
4. On the 24/7 Water Sentinel the Encoder Dials are turned sideways.
