Step 5: Install the front wheel
The bike is shipped with a steel spacer installed in the fork dropouts to prevent damage
during shipment. Prior to installing the front wheel, this spacer must be removed by first
disassembling with the 18mm wrench and can be discarded.
A. Remove the nuts and washers from the front axle and set aside.
B. Align the wheel to the fork so that the fork dropouts rest on the axle. Ensure the fork is
fully seated on the axle, the wheel is centered on the fork, and the brake rotor is centered
in the caliper assembly.
C. Reinstall the washers and thread the nuts onto the axle by hand. Ensure the tab of the
hook washer is fully inserted into the hole on the fork before tightening axle nuts.
D. Fully tighten the nuts using the provided 15mm open-ended wrench. Confirm the nuts
are tightened to 25 Nm using a torque wrench.

WARNING! An improperly secured front wheel or handlebar stem can cause serious injury
or death. Always check that the front wheel and handlebar stem are secured to the bike before
each ride.
Step 6: Install the front fender
A. Remove the screw and washers at the top of the fork using the provided 3mm allen
wrench. Set aside.
B. Using the provided 3mm allen wrench, remove the screws on either side of the fork.
Set aside.
C. Position the fender inside the fork, lining up the bracket to the threaded hole in the
top of the fork. Reinstall the screw and washers using the 3mm allen wrench.
D. Align the fender frame with the threaded holes in the fork. Re-install the screws and
washers using the provided 3mm allen wrench.
