2 8. Never pull on the cable to disconnect any of the plugs. 9. Do not pull cable around sharp objects. 10. Always switch off at the mains before disconnecting any plug, cable connector or extension cable. 11. Switch off, remove plug from mains and examine electric supply cable for damage or ageing before winding cable for storage. Do not repair a damaged cable, replace it with a new one. 3 Assembly Instructions - Handles A B 1 3 4 3 2 2 1 3 4 Fitting the Lower Handles to your Lawnmower (A) 1. Pull the tie bar spindle (A1) to one side so that it is flush with the hole in the side of the moulding. 2. Locate the lower handle (A2) formed end in the recessed moulding at the rear of the deck. 3. Insert the nut (A3) into the handle knob.(A4) (if applicable) 4. Push the tie bar back through the locating hole in the handle and secure it with the handle knob (A4).
4 Starting and Stopping To Start your Lawnmower 1. Connect female extension cable connector to the back of the switchbox. (G) 2 Form loop in mains cable and push the loop through the slot as illustrated in picture (H) 3. To secure, position loop over the hook and pull the cable back through the slot as illustrated in picture (J). 4. Connect plug to mains and switch on. 5. Tilt the handle downwards to slightly raise the front of the lawnmower and to reduce the risk of lawn damage whilst starting.
5 Adjusting the Cutting Height • Switch off your lawnmower, wait until the blade has stopped rotating and disconnect from the mains electricity supply BEFORE adjusting the cutting height. • REMEMBER the blade continues to rotate after the machine is switched off. • Rotating blades can cause injury. 1. Height of cut is adjusted by raising or lowering the four wheels. 2. Pull the adjustment lever (P), away from the location slots and move it to the selected position.
6 Fault Finding Hints Fails to Operate 1 Is the Power Turned On? 2 Check the fuse in the plug, if blown replace. 3 Fuse continues to blow? Immediately disconnect from the mains electricity supply and consult your local approved Service Centre. Poor Grass Collection 1 Disconnect from the mains electricity supply. 2 Clean the outside of the air intakes, the discharge chute and the underside of the deck. 3 Raise to a higher height of cut.
