6.2 LOADING THE PISTOL

WHEN LOADING YOUR PISTOL, ALWAYS KEEP THE MUZZLE

POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION AND KEEP YOUR FINGERS

AWAY FROM THE TRIGGER. ALWAYS CLOSE THE SLIDE

BEFORE INSERTING A LOADED MAGAZINE IF YOU DO NOT

WISH TO IMMEDIATELY CHAMBER A CARTRIDGE. FAILURE

TO FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS

INJURY OR DEATH.

1. Before loading, ensure that the chamber of the pistol is empty and the

pistol does not contain a magazine. Close the slide if you do not wish

to immediately chamber a cartridge (Figure 8).

2. Insert the loaded magazine into the pistol, making certain that the

magazine is pressed completely in and is retained by the magazine

release (Figure 9).
